Child Hospitalized After Route 40 Crash: Officials

A child was hit on Pulaski Highway Monday afternoon in Havre de Grace, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A child was reportedly injured in a crash on US 40/Pulaski Highway Monday afternoon in Havre de Grace. It occurred near the Super 8 Motel, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company.

Emergency personnel from the hose company and ambulance corps were in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway handling the situation after 4 p.m., the Susquehanna Hose Company reported.

Before 4:15 p.m., the hose company reported the victim was being taken to a local pediatric trauma center for treatment.

This is the second pedestrian crash in two days in Havre de Grace. The Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and Susquehanna Hose Company also responded to a call Sunday night after a pedestrian was hit about 2 miles away, on MD 155 at Canvasback Drive, officials said.
