Perryville House Fire Displaces Two: Fire Marshal
The Susquehanna Hose Company was among those responding to Thursday night blaze, fire marshal reported.

A house fire Thursday night in Perryville displaced two people, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
At 7:32 p.m., the owner notified authorities that there was fire in the home in the 700 block of Aiken Avenue, the fire marshal said.
When crews arrived, there was fire showing from the rear of the home, the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company reported.

Approximately 30 firefighters—from Perryville, Water Witch, Susquehanna Hose and Perry Point—responded, bringing the blaze under control within 15 minutes, according to the fire marshal.
The fire marshal ruled the incident accidental, caused by unattended cooking.

There was $50,000 in structural damage, according to the fire marshal, who said $10,000 worth of items inside the home were lost as well.
Two adults were displaced because of the fire and were being assisted by the Red Cross, the fire marshal reported.
