PHOTOS: HHS Hall of Fame Inducts 6

Six Havre de Grace High School alumni were honored Friday—four in person, and two posthumously.

Six Havre de Grace alumni were inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in a ceremony Friday morning.

The current student body was on hand for the ceremony, held in the 's auditorium.

(Class of 1951), (1943), (1972), (1944), George D. Lisby (1949, Havre de Grace Colored High School) and Madelyn Mitchell Shank (1945) were inducted into the Hall of Fame as members of the second class. Frederick Hatem and George Lisby were inducted posthumously.

The school's hall of fame board is seeking nominees for next year. Nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Havre de Grace High School graduate
  • Has a positive impact on society and is a strong role model for youth
  • Exemplifies the school motto: "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve"
  • Demonstrates excellence in his or her field
