Pirate Fest Postponed In Havre de Grace
Ahoy! Pirate Fest Family Day and Pirate Dance Party are happening this weekend.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Pirate Fest is happening this weekend at the Lock House in Havre de Grace. This year's festivities will be family themed, and the event is being billed as Pirate Fest Family Day. The original plan was for the event to be held Saturday, but it was postponed due to rain in the forecast.
Pirate games, mermaid activities, music, face painting and Coast Guard demonstrations will be going on throughout the day now on Sunday. The Pirate Fest Family Day will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

- Cannon fire: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
- Music by Robin Chambers: 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Pirate lore and history: Noon
- Kids costume contest: 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- Pirate story time: 4 p.m.
Pirate Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at the Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House, 618 Conesteo Street, Havre de Grace.
Tickets will be available at the door and online. The cost is free for kids 3 and younger; $5 for kids 4 to 12 years old; and $10 for adults. All proceeds will benefit the Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House.

For adults, there will be a pirate-themed dance party at La Banque de Fleuve from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday,
The Pirate Dance Party will be from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, at La Banque de Fleuve, 309 St. John Street, Havre de Grace. There will be a costume contest, 50 50 raffle, Chinese auction, pirate punch bar, pirate band Mark & Da Sharks and buffet from Coakleys Pub. Tickets are $60 and available at the Lock House.
There will not be a Pirate Run 5K this year, according to organizers, who said they "taking a break" to reassess the race and dedicating full attention to the family day event. The pirate pub crawl is also not being held this summer but something along those lines may be coming in the fall, organizers said.
