Police Exercise To Close Pennington Avenue

BREAKING: Police said drivers and pedestrians will be detoured in the area near Havre de Grace High School during the training.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Don't be surprised to see emergency vehicles in the area around the Havre de Grace municipal complex and Havre de Grace High School late Wednesday afternoon. The Havre de Grace Police Department will be conducting a training exercise near city hall that will impact both pedestrians and drivers.

The training exercise on Pennington Avenue is slated to start around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pennington Avenue will be closed from North Juniata Street to North Adams Street, with neither pedestrians nor vehicles allowed to pass through the area.

There will be parking restrictions in place as well, according to an announcement from the Havre de Grace Police Department.

The training exercise will take place in and around Havre de Grace City Hall and the Havre de Grace Police Department at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
