Postponed: Grand Opening of K-9 Cody Park in Havre de Grace
The ribbon cutting for the new dog park in HdG has been rescheduled due to the weather, city officials said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The grand opening of K-9 Cody Dog Park in Havre de Grace has been postponed due to rain.
City officials announced the grand opening celebration will occur on Sunday, Oct. 2 — previously it had been planned for Saturday, Oct. 1.
More than 3 inches of rain were recorded in parts of Harford County this week, according to unofficial reports the National Weather Service released Friday that incorporate data since Tuesday night.

The forecast is calling for rain through Saturday in Havre de Grace, with sunny skies and a high of 75 degrees Sunday, the new day for the dog park event.
The grand opening is a formal celebration of the latest addition to the city, which has been in use for nearly a month now. K-9 Cody Park has been open since Sept. 3, when it welcomed its first pooches. It is open to all breeds.

The grand opening of K-9 Cody Park will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2. A ribbon cutting is slated for noon at 100 Lagaret Lane in Havre de Grace. The dog park is located behind the Havre de Grace Community Center at 100 Lagaret Lane (off MD 155).
