Ravens Player Visits HdG Middle School

Pro football player Courtney Upshaw visited Havre de Grace this week.

A professional athlete attended P.E. class this week at Havre de Grace Middle School.

Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw dropped by Lewis Lane Tuesday afternoon for an assembly with the entire student body, according to Harford County Public Schools.

"...he spoke with students about the importance of physical activity, sportsmanship, work ethic and education," the school system said.

Upshaw is now in his second year with the Ravens. Before playing his way to a Super Bowl ring, he helped University of Alabama earn two national titles.

In Havre de Grace Tuesday, Upshaw returned to school and joined in the physical education (P.E.) class alongside seventh graders.

"It was truly an amazing opportunity for Havre de Grace Middle students and the community," the school system reported.
