
Rebecca Bane, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Jan. 8, 2017. She was 68.
Mrs. Bane was born in Havre de Grace to Walter Houston Ramsey and Martha Olga Ramsey. She was the loving wife of 44 years to Shannon T. Bane Sr., loving mother of Shannon T. Bane Jr. of Maryland, Laura Stokes of Florida, Clinton P. Burns and Jessie Howard Bane of Maryland, Major Jason Burns of Estonia, and Amy Rebecca Burns Lovelace of Pennsylvania. She had 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Walter Ramsey Jr.
Mrs. Bane was a cosmetologist and hairdresser, and owned and operated several businesses, including B. Ramsey Bane Studios. She worked with several businesses that supported cancer and burn survivors, and was especially active with the Phoenix Society. She was well known for her skill with restorative cosmetology and would help local funeral homes. Mrs. Bane was also known for her impeccable, fashionable appearance, and loved wardrobe shopping. Another love of hers was raising and caring for her teacup poodles.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Bane will be held at a later date.
