Recovery Effort Underway For Missing Boater in North East River
The boater went missing early Saturday morning.

A recovery mission is underway for a 53-year-old boater who went missing early Saturday morning in the North East River.
A good samaritan reported an unmanned vessel doing circles off shore from the Turkey Point Lighthouse around 2:45 a.m., according to the Coast Guard.
The Maryland Natural Resources Police and the Coast Guard along with personnel from Hartord County, Aberdeen Proving Grounds and Cecil County led the initial search effort.

A Hartford County crew was the first to find the 23-foot boat running in circles. The rescue has since been upgraded to a recovery effort.
The recovery effort is concentrated near Turkey Point in the Upper Chesapeake Bay.
