Restore Church Seeks Families for 'Military Night Out'

The Havre de Grace organization wants to give back to parents and their children.

Do you know a military family that could use a night off from the kids?

As a treat for parents and kids alike, Restore Church is hosting a "military night out" on Friday, Nov. 8, at its Havre de Grace location.

Essentially, "we are blessing military families with a night out while we watch their children," Elizabeth Bousa, community impact director for Restore Church, told Patch.

Children will be treated to dinner from Applebee's, in addition to games, crafts and a movie on the big screen.

The parents will have a few hours on their own for the evening.

The whole thing is free.

Parents with kids between 0 and 12 years old are welcome to participate, Bousa said.

Restore Church still had spots open for military families to register as of Oct. 21.

The "military night out" will be from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at Restore Church, 616 Ontario St. in Havre de Grace.
