Revolution Street Crash into Pole Sends 1 to Hospital, Officials Say
The driver may have had a medical emergency, Havre de Grace police said.
Power was out for dozens and one person was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a crash on Revolution Street in Havre de Grace, officials said.
The Susquehanna Hose Company reported at 8:37 a.m. Thursday that it responded to a crash in the 1200 block of Revolution Street at Bay Boulevard in which someone was injured. One person was taken for medical treatment from the single-vehicle crash, according to Chief Scott Hurst of the Susquehanna Hose Company.
The driver suffered what officials thought was a medical emergency when the vehicle collided with a telephone pole, Pfc. Jeff Gilpin of the Havre de Grace Police Department said. No other individuals were in the vehicle or involved in the crash, according to Gilpin.
Approximately 78 customers lost power in an outage reported at 8:44 a.m. on Revolution Street near Bay Boulevard, according to BGE. Estimated restoration time was 11:15 a.m.

The area of Revolution Street where the crash occurred was closed and Gilpin said it would remain closed until BGE completes repairs.
