A former Havre de Grace Elementary School teacher passed away recently, and his funeral service will be held this week.
Richard Jay Williams, 84, died Oct. 19 at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a fall, according to his death notice.
The notice said that Williams was a teacher at Havre de Grace Elementary School before serving as principal at Forest Hill, Jarrettsville and Aberdeen elementary schools. He later taught at Towson University, according to the notice.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Central Presbyterian Church, 7308 York Rd., in Towson.
