Robert J. Carlile, 87, of Havre de Grace

Robert J. Carlile of Havre de Grace passed away on May 4, 2016. He was 87.

Mr. Carlile was born in Havre de Grace and was raised by his grandmother, Jennie Carlile. He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Nancy L. Carlile, loving father of Donna L. Carlile and the late Robert Lee Carlile.

Mr. Carlile served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a supervisor at Aberdeen Proving Ground in the Carpentry Shop as a model maker and carpenter. He loved working with wood and building. He also loved to mow his lawn and was known for being meticulous with his yard.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016, from 6-8 p.m., at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.

Chaplain Rodger Stenger will officiate. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery.
