Harris Teeter, Giant, Wegmans, Safeway, Whole Foods: Store Hours On Labor Day 2017

Picnic-planners and barbecue kings who need last-minute stock-ups on hot dogs, potato salad fixings, Old Bay, beer and more can get what they need at most Maryland grocery stores on Monday, Sept. 4. Most food stores in the region — Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway — are open on the holiday, but check on individual stores for their hours.

Driving to the grocery store and finding it's closed for the holiday can be frustrating. To help you know your go-to stores this upcoming holiday, we have open hours for stores and a closure, plus links to their websites.

Here’s a list of Labor Day hours for Maryland grocery chains, taken from their websites and emails to Patch. Some stores may vary:

• Giant Foods: Hours: 6 a.m.-midnight on Labor Day.
• Harris Teeter: Most Harris Teeter locations will operate their regular, posted hours.
• Wegmans: Stores will be open regular operating hours, from 6 a.m. to midnight, although some departments close earlier.
• Safeway: Maryland stores will operate regular hours; some are open 24 hours a day, some are open from 5 a.m. to midnight daily.
• Whole Foods: Hours: 8 am-9 pm on Labor Day.
• Weis Markets: All stores will be open regular hours, which are 6 a.m. to midnight for most stores, while some are open 24 hours a day.
• Green Valley Marketplace: Maryland stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Food Lion: Maryland stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (depending on the store).
• ShopRite Supermarkets: Maryland stores will be open 6 am - 10 pm. on Monday.
• Trader Joes: All stores open on Sept. 4, may close earlier than normal.
• Fresh Market: Open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sept. 4
• MOMs My Organic Market: Stores will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Labor Day.
• Aldi: All stores open limited hours, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Sept. 4.
• Costco: The stores will be closed Sept. 4.

Walmart and Target stores open regular hours.
