School Fight, Missing Car, Bike Thefts: HdG Crime

Police said several assaults and other crimes were reported in Havre de Grace, including a person whose car disappeared from a repair shop.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Police Department said several assaults and thefts have been reported in the past week and a half. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An assault between a bother and sister resulted from an altercation in the 500 block of Union Avenue at 1:25 a.m. on Oct. 2. Nobody was injured, and they were referred to the commissioner.

Two men got into a fight, leaving one with a bloody nose. The assault occurred at 10:05 p.m. on Sept. 28, on Saint James Terrace at Ontario Street. Both were referred to the commissioner.

Two juveniles got into a fight during lunch in the 700 block of Congress Avenue. They were referred to juvenile services after the assault, which happened at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 28.

A 28-year-old from North East was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of second-degree assault. When officers responded to the 100 block of Oneil Court at 9:36 p.m. on Sept. 27 for a report of an argument and loud person, he did not comply with orders and instead pushed through the door, brushing against the officers. He was taken to the Harford County Detention Center and released the next day.

A 42-year-old man was charged with assault and destruction of property valued at $1,000 in connection with an assault in the 100 block of Remington Circle before 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 27. The Joppa man is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

A man dropped his car off in the 300 block of North Adams Street for repair. When he came to pick it up at 11:46 a.m. on Sept. 25, he was told it was not there. The incident remains under investigation.

After 11 p.m. on Sept. 24, a woman reported her daughter had been assaulted in the 100 block of South Washington Street. The case was referred to juvenile services.

A white Freestyle bike with black writing was reported stolen from the 100 block of Stokes Street around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 24.

Money was stolen from someone's bank account in the 100 block of South Washington Street on Sept. 23.

Electronics were taken from a Hyundai that was broken into in the 300 block of Tidewater Drive at 7:55 p.m. on Sept. 23.

A blue Chrysler left unlocked in the 300 block of Tidewater Drive was rummaged through by an unknown person. The incident was reported at 8:20 a.m. on Sept 23.

A man's bag was taken from his vehicle in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway. It had his identification inside and was allegedly taken by three people he gave a ride to at 2:55 a.m. on Sept. 23. The case is under investigation.

A woman's wallet was stolen from the 800 block of Giles Street at 5:40 p.m. on Sept. 22.

A black and orange men's Mongoose bike was stolen from the 700 block of South Union Avenue. The theft happened sometime between Sept. 21 and 7:57 a.m. on Sept. 22.

There was an assault on a police officer in the 500 block of South Union Avenue at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 21. An uncooperative patient was involved.
