Baltimore-Washington Region Under Severe Thunderstorm Watch

The National Weather Service says damaging wind gusts, hail are possible.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m. on Saturday for much of the Baltimore-Washington area.

Thunderstorms may be capable of producing damaging winds and large hail, according to National Weather Service, which issued the watch Saturday afternoon. Forecasts indicate the storms are expected to hit between 4 and 9 p.m.

  • Queen Anne’s County
  • Talbot County
  • Washington County

The watch expires at 9 p.m. on Saturday. A small craft advisory is in effect until Sunday.

Parts of Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia are also included in the watch area.
