Sherwood Lane Fire Displaces Two: Harford County Fire Officials

Firefighters handled a basement blaze on Sherwood Lane Saturday night, authorities said.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two people were put out of their home Saturday night after a fire broke out in the basement, officials said. Nobody was injured, and the victims were being helped by disaster assistance personnel.

At 7:38 p.m, the Aberdeen Fire Department was dispatched to the 2300 block of Sherwood Lane, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. There was a fire in the basement, she said.

Additional crews assisted with the response, including the Susquehanna Hose Company.

After 9 p.m., the hose company reported the fire was knocked and crews were checking to make sure it had not spread.
