Shirley S. Mann, 83, of Havre de Grace

Shirley S. Mann, of Havre de Grace, passed away on Oct. 27, 2016. She was 83.

Mrs. Mann was born in Havre de Grace to the late William Edward Sampson and Catherine Walker Sampson. She was the devoted wife of the late John C. Mann; and loving mother of John W. Mann of Kilmarnock, Virginia, and Carolyn Jo Mann Ashford of Havre de Grace. She was the adored grandmother of Kimberly A. Mann of Kilmarnock, Virginia; Christopher L. Mann of Hutchison, Minnesota; James T. Mann of Beloit, Wisconsin; Catherine Mann of Aberdeen, Maryland; James Andrew Ashford of El Paso, Texas; Matthew Ashford of Aberdeen, Maryland; and Jessi Ashford of Aberdeen, Maryland. She also had 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mann was the dear sister of Sam “Sammy” Sampson of Havre de Grace, Evelyn Hendrix, Sue Lingenfelter, and Kay Schnell of Havre de Grace, and the late William “Billy” Sampson and James “Jimmy” Sampson.

Mrs. Mann enjoyed being with her family and sewing for her grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
