Speeding on Chapel Road Yields Drug Charges: HdG Crime
Going 11 mph over the speed limit landed one man in jail on drug distribution charges, Havre de Grace police reported.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD – The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A ring was stolen from the 1200 block of Pulaski Highway at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, May 16.
A theft was reported in the 300 block of Old Bay Lane at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. No further information was available.

A 39-year-old Havre de Grace man was charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, resisting arrest and possession of a drug other than marijuana. Police said the man had cocaine, opium and heroin on his person when the car he was riding in was stopped for speeding in the 1500 block of Chapel Road by police conducting radar checks in the area. The vehicle was going 36 mph in a 25 mph zone. Police recognized the man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, as someone wanted on two warrants and also located suspected cocaine/heroin/opium in his front right pocket. The man from the 200 block of South Stokes Street was arrested at 8:52 a.m. on Saturday, May 14. He has a preliminary hearing on June 2.
A 20-year-old woman from Wilmington, Del., was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Pulaski Highway at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 14.
