Spirit Gets Into Havre de Grace

Boaters will have a large obstacle to avoid on the waters around Havre de Grace today. And residents will have something new to turn their cameras toward.

The American Cruise Lines ship American Spirit will be anchoring along Havre de Grace's shores Thursday afternoon, with a boatload of visitors descending upon Havre de Grace's downtown district.

Its the first stop of five between Thursday and June 9, and the second straight year a cruise ship will call the confluence of the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay its rest stop.
