Students Return To Magical HdG Elementary
Monday marked the first day for Harford County Public Schools.

Teachers and administrators wore Mickey Mouse ears Monday to welcome children for a year of imagination, inspiration and innovation at Havre de Grace Elementary School.
Those three words are the school's theme for the 2013-2014 academic year, Assistant Principal Ronald Wooden told Patch.
"It helps us plan our initiatives," Wooden said. Last year's theme was "whatever it takes" and the year before that, it was "believe."
When administrators Googled "imagination, inspiration and innovation," Wooden said they kept getting Disney in the search results.
"We thought, let's go with Disney," he said, and so the first day back to school, teachers and administrators wore Mickey Mouse ears to let kids know they would be on a yearlong magical, educational journey. Wooden said they would wear the ears from time to time throughout the year.
