Summer Plant Based Potluck!

June is a busy month with the end of school along with graduations, weddings, and vacations. Who has time to cook? There is one way to save yourself some time and energy as you are getting ready to open those gardens: The Havre De Grace Green Team’s June, 2016 Plant Based Potluck, which will be hold on June 19, 2016 from 5:15 P.M.to 7:15 P.M. Come out and enjoy good food and friendly folks, while supporting a great cause.

If you are feeling really lucky maybe you can whip up something new. Just remember that it has to be low in oil, no meat, and no dairy. The plant based potluck is a great way to test your new found luck and get some feedback on that new recipe you wanted to try. Don’t worry if the meal isn’t “green” all over”. Still try it out and bring it along. Maybe our luck will hold out and you can bring along a new friend to our warm gathering as Mother Nature continues to play with our weather – chilly one day and 85 degrees the next. Maybe you just are testing the waters of Lady Luck and want to attend by yourself. That will be great too.

Just remember that you can try your luck at the lottery and continue to come up empty handed; but, at the Havre De Grace Green Team’s Plant Based Potluck, you will never walk away hungry.

Please bring a dish that serves 6-8 people. A $2 donations per adult help to defray the cost of the activity. Let’s get that good-time feeling moving with this theme of “Feeling Lucky”. Your heart and stomach will love you for it.

The HdGGT Plant Based Potluck is held quarterly on the 3rd Sunday in the months of June, September, December, and March and is open to all HdG Green Team Members. No cost membership applications are available at the event. The HdG Green Team also collects non-perishable food items at this event for our city’s food pantries.
