The Top of the Rock: Havre de Grace Golf Course Honored Again
Bulle Rock is ranked top in the state and 59th in the nation among public courses.
It has been a good month for , which was named the best golf course in Maryland and one of the best public golf courses in the country.
The Havre de Grace course has received accolades from two major golf publications this month—being named the “Course of the Year: Maryland” by GolfStyles, and serving as the lone course in the state on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses for 2011-12.
“It is a real honor that golfers in the know recognize us as one of the nation’s premier courses,” Richard Rounsaville, Bulle Rock's general manager and director of golf, said in a statement. “It is a tribute to our original philosophy of operating a world-class course that anyone can play, and that our course conditions continue to get better and better.”

Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses has been published since 1966. Bulle Rock was ranked 59th—up from No. 81 last year—among public courses.
