Thefts From Vehicles Spike In Havre de Grace: Police
The Havre de Grace Police Department is asking drivers to take action after an uptick in a certain type of crime.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — In addition to watching out for pedestrians this Halloween, the Havre de Grace Police Department is asking drivers to be extra sure they do a couple of other things. When drivers leave their vehicles, they should be sure there is nothing valuable in sight. Also, they should lock their car doors.
There has been an increase in the number of reports of thefts from vehicles, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department.

Medication was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Saint James Terrace, reported at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 26.
Two juveniles were arrested at 7:25 p.m. on Oct. 24 after there was a report of people breaking into vehicles in the 500 block of Congress Avenue. The suspects were also linked to thefts from multiple vehicles overnight in the 1000 block of Chesapeake Drive.

A phone was stolen from a truck in the 100 block of Mohegan Drive at 3:58 p.m. on Oct. 23. The suspect was identified and connected to another call about a theft from a vehicle in the same block at 6 p.m. on Oct. 23.
