Tires Slashed On City Vehicles, Police Investigating: Mayor
"If...somebody you know left the house at 2 o'clock in the morning wearing a ski mask, let us know," Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD â Mayor William T. Martin asked the citizens of Havre de Grace for help after someone went on a tire slashing spree. The target was city vehicles, he said.
"A couple nights ago, there was some vandalism [that] took place at city hall," Martin reported during the recent Havre de Grace City Council meeting. "The car tires were slashed on all the city vehicles."
An ice pick or some other sharp object had pierced all the tires on city vehicles in the area, he said.

"We do have camera surveillance that's pretty clear," the mayor reported. "Police are analyzing the camera surveillance."
Usually, he said, it was the job of city employees to provide assistance to citizens in need, but now he was asking for assistance from the community in identifying the culprit in the Pennington Avenue tire slashings.
"Tonight we are going to come to the citizens for some information," Martin said Monday night from the dais.
"If anybody has any information â somebody you know left the house at 2 o'clock in the morning wearing a ski mask â let us know," he said.
