Todd Park Food Forest - Phase 1 Tree Planting
First phase of tree and perennial shrub planting of the Todd Park Food Forest by the City of Havre de Grace and Havre de Grace Green Team
The Havre de Grace Green Team kicked off our Todd Park Food Forest by planting two serviceberry trees and two high bush blueberry bushes, both species that are native to Maryland.
More fruit and nut trees and berry bushes will be planted in the spring of 2017. In attendance from the Green Team were President Kirk Smith, Food Forest Leader Chris Boyles, and other Green Team members; Mayor Bill Martin and Councilwoman Monica Worrell represented the City; and other residents attended the celebration as well.
The Todd Park Food Forest is a collaboration of the Green Team and the City of Havre de Grace and will be open to the public.
