Trash Pickup Days Changing for Some HdG Residents
The Department of Public Works said the 'very minor adjustment' will begin March 4.
Some neighborhoods in Havre de Grace will have new trash collection days, according to the Department of Public Works.
Director of Public Works Larry Parks said that it was necessary to alter the schedule to "even out the load," speaking at the City Council meeting earlier this week.
"Waste Industries is making a very minor adjustment to the trash collection schedule," according to a statement from public works Thursday.

As a result, approximately 250 residents will have a new collection day.
These areas will be impacted by the shift, which takes effect March 4:

- Congress Avenue and Bourbon Street, including any intersecting side streets—trash pickup will be Monday
- Greenway Farm and 1201 Pulaski Highway—pickup will be Wednesday
Both areas previously had pickup days on Tuesday.
Residents in the affected areas will receive notification calls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, and 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, according to the Havre de Grace Department of Public Works.
Recycling and yard waste days remain the same; recycling will continue to be collected Thursday, and yard waste on Friday.
