Vehicle Fire Caused Backups on I-95 Near Belcamp Exit

The fire was reported on I-95 near MD Route 543.

Traffic stacked up on Interstate 95 south past the exit for MD Route 543 for approximately 45 minutes Monday morning in Harford County.

A vehicle fire was the cause, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

The incident was reported at 10:01 a.m. and resulted in closure of the right lane and right shoulder, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team.

As of 10:20 a.m., the fire had been extinguished but the right lane remained blocked, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.

By 10:45 a.m., the authority reported that all lanes were open.
