Warrior Pride Band Marches in National Veterans Day Parade
The Havre de Grace High School marching band took a stroll down Fifth Avenue for America's Parade.
The Havre de Grace High School marching band—Warrior Pride—had an "outstanding" performance at the Veterans Day Parade in New York City, according to Band Director Rick Hauf.
"The students did such a great job!" Hauf said of Monday's march.
The group of nearly 120 Havre de Grace High School musicians made the trip to the Big Apple after being selected from an audition tape.
Instruments and flags in hand, Warrior Pride members followed the parade route along a 1.4-mile stretch of Fifth Avenue, from 26th to 56th streets.
Approximately 20,000 people marched in the event, which is known as "America's Parade" and included 200 groups, New York Daily News reported.
"It was such an honor to march down Fifth Avenue in tribute to our veterans," Hauf said. "It is a parade I am certain we will all remember for a lifetime."
