Warriors, Eagles Football to be Heard on WAMD, SFMSports.net

Local high school football games will be broadcasted live in 2011.

SFMSports.net and AM 970 WAMD will bring play-by-play broadcasts to Havre de Grace and Aberdeen football this fall on an alternating schedule. The broadcasts will include a pre- and post-game show, complete with player and coach interviews.

"I am proud to return to my roots and feature both the Havre de Grace and Aberdeen football programs," President and CEO of SFMSports Steve Clendenin said in a statement. "When I graduated from HHS in 2001, I dreamed of the day when the new athletic complex would be complete. Now that it is, we are able to bring our network-style broadcast to this outstanding facility."

Games will be available via SFMSports' mobile phone application as well.

SFMSports broadcasted select Aberdeen and Havre de Grace sports during the 2010-2011 school year.

WAMD has broadcasted Havre de Grace and Aberdeen football in the past, most recently in 2005, according to the release.

SFMSports broadcasts a number of high school and collegiate sporting events around Maryland.

The full schedule for 2011 Aberdeen and Havre de Grace football broadcasts is as follows:
