Warriors Fare Well at North Region Swim Meet
Boys take second, girls finish seventh in Class 3A/2A/1A North Region meet

Havre de Grace had one of the smallest teams at the meet. And one of the smallest schools in the state churned out a third place finish in Saturday's Class 3A/2A/1A North Region meet at Magnolia Middle School.
The Warriors finished third overall in the meet, which paired them against the second and third-largest schools in the region based upon state classifications. The Warriors compete in the 1A classification as one of the smallest schools in the state.
The Warriors boys took second with 345 points—35 points behind Fallston. The Warriors girls finished seventh with 156.

Fallston won the boys competition and the overall meet. Patterson Mill won the girls competition.
Havre de Grace had two individual wins Saturday—both from the boys team, which finished the regular season undefeated.

The Warriors boys 200-yard freestyle team of Chris Worrell, Daniel Schoeberlein, Paul Butz and Renz Amato won in 1:38.94, more than a second ahead of runners-up Fallston.
Robbie Orzewicz won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.10—more than three seconds ahead of his runner up.
The state swim meet is scheduled for Saturday at the University of Maryland in College Park.
