Warriors Land 15 on Spring All-Division Teams

UCBAC All-Division teams were announced recently.

Fifteen Havre de Grace student athletes were recognized on All-Division teams for the spring sports season. The teams are chosen by the coaches of each respective sport in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference.

Six Warriors were named to first team in their divisions.

Among seven boys lacrosse players who were honored, Ryan Weismiller and Justin Gosnell were named first-team All-Susquehanna Division, and Tyler Coakley, Heart Martin, , Chris Castillo and Mark Holloway were named to the second team.

The girls lacrosse team landed five on all-division teams. and Maddie Hewitt were named to the All-Susquehanna Division first team. Abby Blessing, Helen Boniface, and Carly Thompson were named to the second-team.

Second baseman Emily Lewis and outfielder were named to the first-team All-Susquehanna softball team.

Second baseman Nick Gartside was a second-team All-Susquehanna baseball selection.

The UCBAC is split into two division: the Chesapeake and the Susquehanna. The Susquehanna Division champs move up to the Chesapeake for the following year, with the last-place team in the Chesapeake moving down to the Susquehanna.

The Warriors boys lacrosse team will move up to the Chesapeake Division in 2012.
