Warriors Will Play for UCBAC Boys Hoops Title

Havre de Grace wrapped up division crown, will play for UCBAC title Feb. 23

The Havre de Grace boys basketball team will play for a second straight conference championship.

The Warriors’ win over Aberdeen Tuesday night clinched the Chesapeake Division title in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference, league commissioner Bob Slagle confirmed in an e-mail Wednesday.

The Warriors (13-5 overall, 9-1 division) will play either North Harford (17-4 overall, 12-1 division) or Patterson Mill (14-5 overall, 11-1 division) Feb. 23 at Edgewood for the conference title. The Huskies kept their hopes alive with a 65-49 win against the Hawks Tuesday night.

Havre de Grace won the UCBAC championship last year, the first time in league history Aberdeen did not win the title for the league that houses Harford and Cecil counties public schools.
