WATCH: British Invade Havre de Grace, Again

This video-blogging couple from England captured their take on Havre de Grace during a recent visit.

If you think people have a hard time pronouncing Havre de Grace correctly, then watch this British guy try to get “Maryland” right.

Video bloggers Chris and Jess traveled recently from England to the U.S., including Havre de Grace, where they documented a tongue-in-cheek visit to some historic sites.

“I think they really took the whole Independence thing very badly,” Chris said of the British, standing at Concord Point, where British barges arrived during the War of 1812 and troops nearly burned Havre de Grace to the ground.

Inspecting signage about the British invasion, Chris made this assessment: “They really don’t like the British here.”

Chris is from England and his wife, Jess, is from Wisconsin, and together they’re driving around the country looking for a new place to live together.

On the seventh week of their cross-country journey, they stopped in Havre de Grace. See their visit.
