SHCO Rescues Pair From Susquehanna River In 9 Minutes
Officials said they handled a water rescue Thursday night in the Susquehanna River near Perryville.

PERRYVILLE, MD — Two people were rescued from the Susquehanna River Thursday night, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company. It took crews nine minutes from the time the call was dispatched until the victims were pulled from the water, the hose company reported.
The victims were in the part of the river near Perryville, officials said.
The Susquehanna Hose Company's fire-rescue boat was called to Owens Landing at 7:43 p.m. on Thursday, May 2,officials said. One person was reported in the water. But as the fire boat was en route, Cecil County officials alerted first responders that there were two people in the water.

By 7:52 p.m., the hose company reported that two people had been rescued from the water.
They were taken to land for a medical evaluation.
