2 Rescued From Water Near Perryville Community Park: Officials
The Susquehanna Hose Company was among the agencies that came to the rescue Sunday afternoon on Furnace Bay, officials said.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Two people were rescued from the mud near Perryville Park Sunday afternoon, according to authorities. Crews from the Havre de Grace, Port Deposit and Perryville responded to the incident.
The water rescue call came in at 3:08 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, according to officials.
There was a report of an overturned kayak in Furnace Bay near the Perryville Community Park, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company, which said two people appeared to be trapped in mud.

According to the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company, Perry Point and the hose company were first at the scene but could not access the victims, who were in shallow water.
The Water Witch zodiac arrived and was able to get to the individuals, who were taken to shore aboard the Susquehanna Hose Company's fire boat. Once the victims were on land, they were met by emergency medical personnel.
