What's Happening for First Friday in Havre de Grace

Balloon hats, street performers, outdoor seating and other special features are on tap.

First Fridays are back in Havre de Grace as of Friday, May 1.

Street performers will be out, crazy balloon hats and face painting will be available and artists will be working outside as passersby watch them create.

The celebration takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday.

Washington, Saint John and Franklin streets will be closed to traffic, as vendors will be set up and downtown Havre de Grace turns into a street festival.

The following happenings are confirmed, according to Havre de Grace Tourism:

  • Face painting and crazy balloon hats at The Art Rooms; 116 N. Washington St.
  • Antique cars and outdoor shopping on Franklin Street.
  • Artists will be working along St. John’s and Washington Streets.
  • Acoustically Sound to play music by Laurrapin Grille.
  • The Red Alert Band will perform, sponsored by Joseph’s Department Store.
  • Coakleys Pub will feature a live band outdoors and DJ indoors.
  • Outdoor seating will be available at MacGregor’s Restaurant, Rodgers House Tavern, Coakley’s Pub, Vineyard Wine Bar and Laurrapin Grille.
