Where to Park for Darlington Apple Festival 2014

The Darlington Apple Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.

To get there from Havre de Grace, take MD Route 155/Level Road to Route 161/Darlington Road. Make a right onto Route 161. In approximately 5 miles, there will be signs for the apple festival and parking. There are at least six lots (other organizations may have separate lots) that the apple festival listed on its website:

• Handicapped parking is off School Road, between Old Quaker Road and Route 161.
• The Shuresville Road parking lot is off Shuresville Road near Stafford Road. It is run by local business B.G.S. Jourdan & Sons. That’s the closest one coming from Havre de Grace.
• The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company lot is at 2600 Castleton Road; proceeds benefit the fire department.
• The Harley-Davidson lot is at 4600 Thunder Court. Proceeds go to the Red Cross.
• From the Bel Air area, people can park at the Rec Council parking lot off Conowingo Road/US 1 west of Main Street, near the High’s store. Proceeds benefit the Dublin-Darlington Recreation Council, Darlington Independence Day Festival and the Darlington Apple Festival.
• From the Conowingo/Cecil County area, drivers should park in the Meadow Lot, off Conowingo Road/US 1, west of the Harley-Davidson lot. Proceeds benefit the Dublin-Darlington Recreation Council, Darlington Independence Day Festival and the Darlington Apple Festival.
