The streets in downtown Havre de Grace will be buzzing tonight for August's First Friday celebration.

Street vendors and displays will be set up around the downtown arts and entertainment district.

Dinner and drink specials can be found at the city's restaurants, bars and pubs.

A face painter will be located at Pennington Avenue and North Washington Street. Jeff the Balloon Man will be situated in front of on Washington Street.

The Snowball Experience—with its 130-plus flavors—will be at Pennington Avenue and North Washington Street.

Havre de Grace Main Street will have raffles and other items available at a tent near Pennington Avenue and Washington Street.

Musical acts will be scattered about town, including:

  • Al Peteraf and Friends at the Rampant Lion
  • Roger Girke Trio at
  • DaNica at
  • Cameron Street at
  • Jack Fox & Sassy at Rochambeau Plaza
  • A drum circle in front of the St. John Street water treatment plant

The city's streetscape project on St. John Street is , according to Director of Public Works Larry Parks.
