Where will they be a year from now?
Many of have a good idea where we will be a year from now. These kids, not so much.

The children in the program have all been gathered in one place in Bogota where they will spend the next two weeks. I saw a photo taken a day or so ago of them in a yoga class. About half of the kids were still in pajamas – so sweet! I’m sure they will have loads of activities related to their orientation during the remainder of their time there. It’s a chance for them to bond with each other and with the Kidsave chaperones, who are amazing people. Up until a few days ago, these children mostly did not know one another, as they come from all over Colombia. Now, they are united in this shared experience.
So, I showed our son the photo today. His comment? “I remember that room!” Yep, he was there himself two short years ago as a part of ICBF-Kidsave Summer Miracles 2012. His life (and ours!) has changed so much since that time. It makes me wonder where these precious little ones will be in the years to come. Will they find their way to their permanent families this summer? Oh Heavenly Father, may it be so.
