Wind Restrictions Lifted at Tydings Bridge
The Maryland Transportation Authority imposed restrictions due to weather Tuesday afternoon.

For approximately 45 minutes, wind restrictions were in effect on the Tydings Bridge.
The Maryland Transportation Authority lifted the restrictions at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Full wind restrictions mean that tractor-box trailer combintations weighing less than 64,000 pounds may not cross the bridge, according to transportation authorities.
The restriction took effect after winds greater than 50 mph were blowing for at least 10 minutes.

Only automobiles, pickup trucks, flatbed trailers, commercial buses and heavy-laden tractor/trailers are permitted to cross the bridge, according to the transportation authority.
