You're Invited: Havre de Grace City Sweep
Join Havre de Grace C.A.T. Club at Tydings Park for Saturday morning cleanup.

A host of citizens will take to the streets and sidewalks on Saturday for the Havre de Grace City Sweep Day, organized by the Havre de Grace C.A.T. Club.
The group—which stands for “Citizens Against Trash”— has been beautifying the city with Saturday morning cleanups since January 2013.
Organizer Al Peteraf, who began planning the club in fall 2012, said the Nov. 15 citywide sweep will be the group’s way of celebrating its second anniversary.

Volunteers will fan out across the city along different routes, then meet at Hutchins Park for water and photos afterward, Peteraf said. He encouraged people to tell their church groups, friends, families and anyone else who may want to help with the effort to increase awareness and decrease litter.
Interested parties should meet at Tydings Park off Commerce Street at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. All are welcome. The C.A.T. Club will give away bags and gloves. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
