Area Teens Can Apply for Paid Peer Tutoring Jobs

Top high school students can apply to be paid peer tutors with PeerGenius™ Tutors, a Maryland based LLC. The company is currently seeking applications from high school students who live in the Hunt Valley- Cockeysville areas. Interested students should apply immediately as jobs are being filled quickly. Students can get more information and apply on the company's website at www.itspeergenius.com.

PeerGenius™ Tutors is a private tutoring service that trains top high school students to help their younger peers in all K-12 subjects and study skills. The company has jobs for teens who are strong overall students or who excel in a particular subject area.

Those students who are selected can choose the number of hours they work, when they work and which subjects they feel comfortable tutoring. In addition to pay that is well above minimum wage, research has shown that peer tutors benefit in many ways from teaching other students.

“It’s also real work experience and a great item for college applications,” according to Enid Traub, President of PeerGenius™ Tutors. “We’re very excited to give Baltimore County teens an opportunity to help their younger peers and gain valuable experience,” said Traub.

Stephanie Ekey, a rising junior at Franklin High School in Reisterstown, recently joined the PeerGenius™ team. "I heard about PeerGenius from my National Honor Society advisor and was excited to find a job that fits into my busy school schedule. I enjoy learning and helping others learn as well," she said.
