And They're Off: Don't Miss April's Steeplechase Races

The winter that felt like spring has left me smacking my head at the thought that the heart of the steeplechase season is here already.

The Elkridge-Harford Hunt Point-to-Point posts at 1:30 p.m. today in Monkton. Visit marylandsteeplechasing.com for all the details. Gates open at noon. With a sunny forecast with a high of 66 degrees, you couldn't ask for better conditions.

Got photos of Saturday's race (or last week's Green Spring Valley Point-to-Point) that you want to share on Cockeysville Patch? Just upload them in a couple easy clicks. You can see photos and articles from this year's races and from the 2011 steeplechase season here.

Here's the rest of the month's racing schedule:

Saturday, April 14th: My Lady's Manor
Saturday, April 21st: Maryland Grand National
Saturday, April 28th: Maryland Hunt Cup
Sunday, April 29th: Maryland Junior Hunt Cup
