Ballenger Chiropractic, PA Adds Dr. Julie Scanlon As Associate

An experienced chiropractor and an award-winning athlete, Dr. Scanlon joins the growing Timonium, Md-based practice.

Ballenger Chiropractic, P.A., the Timonium-based chiropractic care and wellness provider, has announced the addition of Julie Scanlon, D.C. as Chiropractic Associate.

After attaining her Bachelor of Sciences in Exercise Physiology from Salisbury University, she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where she was also a clinic teaching assistant and served on the Sports Council. She is licensed in Maryland.

Dr. Scanlon is certified in the Activator Technique, the Graston Technique, and is working towards certification in Active Release Technique. Additionally, she is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and was an award-winning powerlifter who ranked in the Powerlifting USA’s Top 20 Women’s list from 1997 - 2004.

In college, Dr. Scanlon was a youth weight training coach for the football and women’s track teams. She further pursued her interests in health and fitness by working at several gyms and fitness & rehabilitation centers the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
