A local clothing boutique owner shares tips for the warmer days ahead.

After a trip to New York City buying clothes for her store, local boutique owner Janis Krewe-Lavenstein has a good idea of what will be during the spring season.

"Bright, bold colors really make a statement," said Krew-Lavenstein, owner of

Embellished sleeves such as cut-out shoulders and flowing fabrics are a flattering and appropriate option for all ages.

"These are attractive styles that cover up common trouble spots like the fatter underside of the arm," she said.

As far as accessories are concerned, Krew-Lavenstein suggests dangling chains attached to earrings and necklaces.

"But I wouldn't wear [dangling chain earrings and necklaces] at the same time," she said. "It'd be too much."

For a group of women interested in personal consulations and camaraderie with friends, will close down the store for a private shopping event. Refreshments will also served and discounts are available.

"It's a fun idea for a girls' night out or birthday party," she said.
