Bus Stuck in Sinkhole, Cranbrook Road Closed: Police

Part of Cranbook Road is closed due to sinkhole, Baltimore County public safety officials report.

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — Cranbrook Road is closed in Cockeysville Wednesday morning due to a sinkhole that has sucked in a school bus, officials say.

Before 8 a.m., a bus on the way to Dulaney High School got stuck in the sinkhole, according to Baltimore County public safety officials, who reported no students were injured.

The sinkhole started as a water main break on Cranbook Road Tuesday night, and Cranbook Road collapsed at Spring Head Court, officials reported.

After 8 a.m., Baltimore County authorities said Cranbook Road was closed between Ridgeland Road and Cranbook Shopping Center.

According to WBAL, approximately 150 customers were experiencing issues with their water Wednesday afternoon.
