Cockeysville Man Died In Thanksgiving Crash: Police

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — A man died in a crash on Paper Mill Road on Thanksgiving, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Police said the driver hit a utility pole in the single-vehicle crash.

Daniel Joseph Lyons, 81, of the unit block of Warren Lodge Court, was pronounced deceased at Sinai Hospital, police reported.

He had been driving his 2006 Scion xA around 5:36 p.m. on Thursday when his car drifted off the road and hit a BGE pole west of Hunters Run Drive, according to officials.

Baltimore County's crash investigation team is continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
