Dr. Joseph N. Tatarewicz, associate professor of history at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, will give a presentation on "The Shield of Baltimore: Nike Missile Bases and Continental Air Defense in the Cold War." Dr. Tatarewicz will discuss the history of the Nike System and its Baltimore area bases, and the results of a project he led that surveyed remaining structures of the base located in Granite, Baltimore County. The program will be in the Lockheed Martin auditorium at 2323 Eastern Boulevard, Middle River.
