Jousting, the state sport, has had a strong presence in Baltimore County. Participants will learn about the history of the sport, its practice in the Long Green and Green Spring Valleys, and the emergence of the Green Spring Valley as a center for women's "tournaments." Designed for all ages, this program is meant to serve the need for explaining "Why is jousting our state sport?" $5 for non-members and free to members of the Historical Society of Baltimore County.
